This card is one of a series published by William Bryce of Toronto. Other know cards include vignettes of Toronto, Niagara-on-the-Lake and London, Ontario. William Bryce began publishing cards in 1895 after the change in postal regulations permitted private post cards. Allan Steinhart illustrates Bryce’s Toronto design in his The Postal History of the Post Card in Canada 1878–1911 on page 27, showing a November 1896 usage.
